Traffic India: Escape the Jam ("the game") is a traffic puzzle game made by Siddharth Pattnaik ("I", "me"). This policy explains what the game does and does not do with your information. In short: the game has no account of its own and I run no servers. Your progress is kept on your device, and optionally in your own Google Play Games account. The game shows ads through Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising ID, and sells optional items through Google Play.

1. Information I collect

I do not collect, receive or store any personal information myself. The game has no sign-up, no in-game chat, no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK of mine, and it does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or precise location.

Some information is, however, processed by the Google services built into the game, described in section 4. I have no access to that information beyond the aggregate reports Google gives every developer (for example, how many ads were shown, total sales, and anonymous crash statistics from Google Play).

2. Data stored on your device

The game keeps one small save file in its own app storage so that it can work between sessions. It stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the game or clear its storage. It contains:

3. Permissions the game requests, and why

The game requests no runtime ("dangerous") permissions: no location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage or phone access.

4. Third-party services

Google AdMob (advertising)

The game shows two kinds of ads through the Google Mobile Ads SDK: rewarded ads, which play only when you choose to watch one for a reward, and occasional full-screen ads between two levels. To deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google collects and processes information from your device, including the advertising ID, IP address (from which an approximate location such as country or city can be derived), device model, operating system, language, and how you interact with ads. Depending on your choices and your region, Google and its advertising partners may use this to show personalised ads.

How Google uses this information: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Google Play Games Services (sign-in and cloud save)

If you have a Google Play Games profile, the game signs in to it so that your progress can be saved to your own Google account (Saved Games) and restored on another device. The saved data is the same progress file described in section 2. It is stored by Google in your account; I cannot read it. Google processes your Play Games player ID and profile for this. You can sign out or delete this game's Play Games data at any time in the Play Games app (Settings → Delete Play Games account & data). If you are not signed in, nothing is uploaded and the game works the same.

Google Play Billing (in-app purchases)

Optional purchases (the Everything Pack, All Cities, No Ads and coin packs) are made through Google Play, using the Unity In-App Purchasing library. Payment is handled entirely by Google: I never see your card or payment details. The game receives only what it needs to deliver the item: the product identifier, the order identifier and a purchase token.

Unity

The game is built with the Unity engine. Unity Analytics, Unity Ads and Unity cloud crash reporting are switched off in this game.

5. Children's privacy

The game is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact me and I will help as far as I am able, bearing in mind that I hold no such data myself.

6. Data sharing, sale and retention

I do not sell, rent or share personal data, because I do not hold any. The save file on your device is kept until you reset the game, clear its storage or uninstall it. The copy in your Google Play Games account is kept by Google until you delete it. Advertising data is retained by Google under its own policies.

7. Your rights and choices

8. Security

The save file is stored in Android's per-application storage. Data exchanged with Google's services is sent over encrypted connections by Google's own SDKs.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
