Traffic India: Escape the Jam ("the game") is a traffic puzzle game made by Siddharth Pattnaik ("I", "me"). This policy explains what the iPhone and iPad version does and does not do with your information. In short: the game has no account and I run no servers. Your progress is kept on your device. The game shows ads through Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising identifier only if you allow tracking, and sells optional items through the App Store.
I do not collect, receive or store any personal information myself. The game has no sign-up, no sign-in, no in-game chat, no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK of mine, and it does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or location.
Some information is, however, processed by the services built into the game, described in section 4. I have no access to that information beyond the aggregate reports those services give every developer (for example, how many ads were shown, total sales, and the anonymous crash and usage statistics Apple shares if you have agreed to share them with developers).
The game keeps one small save file in its own app storage so that it can work between sessions. It is removed when you delete the game. It contains:
The iOS version has no cloud save of its own. If device backups are switched on, the save file may be included in your iCloud or computer backup like any other app data; that backup is yours and is governed by Apple's terms, and I cannot read it.
The game requests no access to your location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendar, Bluetooth or motion data.
The game shows two kinds of ads through the Google Mobile Ads SDK: rewarded ads, which play only when you choose to watch one for a reward, and occasional full-screen ads between two levels. To deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google collects and processes information from your device, including IP address (from which an approximate location such as country or city can be derived), device model, operating system, language, how you interact with ads and, only if you allowed tracking, the advertising identifier (IDFA). Depending on your choices and your region, Google and its advertising partners may use this to show personalised ads.
How Google uses this information: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Optional purchases (the Everything Pack, All Cities, No Ads and coin packs) are made through Apple's In-App Purchase, using the Unity In-App Purchasing library. Payment is handled entirely by Apple: I never see your card or payment details or your Apple Account. The game receives only what it needs to deliver the item: the product identifier and the transaction identifier.
The game is built with the Unity engine. Unity Analytics, Unity Ads and Unity cloud crash reporting are switched off in this game.
The game is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact me and I will help as far as I am able, bearing in mind that I hold no such data myself.
I do not sell, rent or share personal data, because I do not hold any. The save file on your device is kept until you reset the game or delete it. Advertising data is retained by Google under its own policies, and purchase records by Apple under its own.
The save file is stored in the game's own sandboxed storage, which other apps cannot read. Data exchanged with Google's and Apple's services is sent over encrypted connections by their own software.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
